Issue and Payment of Foreign Currency Drafts and Electronic Transfers (T.Ts):

Phuentsholing Main Branch and Thimphu Main Branch are authorised to effect outward remittances by means for foreign currency drafts and T.Ts.
The appropriate charges will be recovered in respect of drafts and T.Ts issued in foreign currencies, which do not represent the proceeds of import bills realised.
In respect of clean sales of foreign currencies (i.e. drafts, mail transfers and telegraphic transfers issued in foreign currencies, which do not represent the proceeds of import ills realised), the T.T. selling rate will be applied.
In respect of sales representing the proceeds of import bills realised, the Bill selling rate will be applicable.
In the case of cancellation of foreign currency drafts, the proceeds in Ngultrums will be refunded to the applicant by applying the current T.T. buying rate on the date of cancellation.
