Notification on ATM Withdrawal Charge

All customers are requested to note that cash withdrawals from other bank’s ATM machines are chargeable @Nu 9/- per withdrawal transaction from the sixth transaction onwards, and is recovered at each month end. This is a common charge across banks and as mandated by the Central Bank.

Export Packaging Credit

Bank of Bhutan facilitates your operations with shipment packing credit for finished goods, prior to shipment, against a Letter of Credit from the overseas buyer.

CLASSIFICATION

  1. Pre Shipment Credit
  2. Post shipment Disbursement

ELIGIBILITY

Exporters who have continuously availed EPC from us for the last 2 years with good track record.

QUANTUM

  • 50% margin on average of actual achievement of the past year.

TENURE

  • 6-12 months

CHECKLIST FOR EPC ( FOR DOWNLOAD IN PDF )

  • Application form duly filled in and signed on all the pages (Full Signature).
  • Copy of valid Citizenship Identity (CID) of both the applicant and the guarantor as applicable.
  • One recent Pass Port size photograph of the applicant.
  • A copy of a valid export license.
  • Projections of export sales for the past 3 years and the current year and actual export sales.
  • A standard agreement should consist the following points:
  • Quantity and quality of export
  • Price Negotiated / Rate
  • Terms of payment
  • Standard terms of LC
  • Re-imbursement Authority to be incorporated
  • For acceptable importers’ banks check with forex department and only those banks LC should be acceptable otherwise all bills to be sent on collection. Only upon realization they should be paid.
  • Borrowers to be provided with the list of banks recognized by us for negotiation
  • Latest Original Pay Slip of the applicant(s) and guarantor dully filled, signed and sealed by salary disbursing officer & recommendations.
  • Ownership certificate(s) of the collateral security offered to bank.
  • Consent letter from the joint owner or co-owner if the collateral provided is in joint and co-ownership.
